Walnut Wall Unit

This walnut wall unit was design, built and installed by Smock Studio. The homeowner desired a walnut entertainment center with display shelving that fit within an existing wall niche. The design consists of 3 parts. The first is an entertainment center with glossy white sliding doors that hide undesirable media equipment. The entertainment center is hung on a French cleat and like the rest of the project is made of 3/4” walnut plywood. The second part of the design is the wall paneling. This is separated into 3 panels with seams hidden behind the shelving. As the third component, the shelving sits on hidden wall hangers that protrude between the wall panels and cleanly covers all seams between wood paneling giving the entire design a cohesive and seamless look.
